Regional Economic Forecasting Panel Report
The Regional Economic Forecasting Panel has published its May 2008 edition of the State of the Northwest Economy Long-term Forecast.

Budget 2008
The Chancellor made his Budget speech to the House of Commons on 12 March 2008. The NWDA Research Team has compiled a Budget Briefing which contains concise headlines from the Budget Statement presented within the framework of the Regional Economic Strategy.
Documents release by HM Treasury are also available.
Regional and Sub-Regional Gross Value Added (GVA) Estimates
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has today, 14th December 2007, released regional and sub-regional gross value added (GVA) estimates for the period 1989 - 2006. The ONS Regional Team has produced a Northwest Summary Document together with a briefing for the North of England which are avilable from the ONS Northwest Regional Team page. The detailed figures for the Northwest and its sub-regions are available in a GVA summary spreadsheet.

Pre-Budget Report 2008
The Chancellor delivered his Pre-Budget Report on Tuesday 9 October 2007. The aim of the report is to provide progress on what has been achieved so far, give an update of the state of the economy and public finances and set out the direction of Government policy in the run up to the spring Budget.
The NWDA Research Team has prepared a briefing detailing the main points of the report.
Public Expenditure Statistical Analyses (PESA)
Each year, HM Treasury publishes the Public Expenditure Statistical Analyses (PESA) which is a compendia of information about public expenditure outturns and plans. One chapter is devoted to the distribution of public spending between the regions and countries of the UK. PESA 2008 was released by HM Treasury on 21st April 2008 and can be accessed here. The NWDA research team has produced a briefing which sumarises the results of this release.
Regional Household Income 1995-2005
Following the release from ONS of the new Household Income Estimates earlier this year, the NWDA Research Team has produced an overall summary for the Northwest region. The new data contains regional figures up to 2005 together with sub-regional and local data (NUTS 2 and 3).
