Abstract
In March 2010, the Northwest Regional Development Agency appointed Lambert Smith Hampton and Ekosgen to undertake the Market Outlook for Strategic Regional Sites study. This research took changing economic conditions and the outlook for the property market into account before considering the appropriateness of the Agency’s portfolio of strategic regional sites and advising whether there is a need to designate any further sites for particular purposes. The consultants concluded that, despite the uncertain economic outlook, there is no identified need to designate further strategic regional sites. The existing portfolio provides a good range of sites which are expected to generally meet the needs of a diverse range of sectors across the region.
