Entrepreneurship and Business Success and Survival in the North West
Gap Question:-
The creation of new businesses is a fundamental objective for the whole region and this project can provide the intelligence to support the NWDA objective of accelerating new business development. The project aims to create a greater understanding of the market within which they operate, that of supporting new business start-ups.
SBS Household Survey of Entrepreneurship 2003 North West results are now available using link at bottom of page.
After discussions with the SBS Research Team the NWDA/RIU undertook to boost the national survey along with three other regions. The boost will deliver a greater robustness of results at the regional level. The contract was awarded at the national level to NOP Research.
The result is a completed survey of 2,500 individuals at the national level, 500 per region, which will provide robust regional/sub-regional figures for the likeliness of individuals becoming entrepreneurs and details/characteristics on entrepreneurship.
Currently we are awaiting the supply of a set of data tables for the region to allow for the verification of the quality and robustness the survey data for the level/type of analysis required.
