Regional Economic Projections
Gap Question:-
Aims to provide access to regional/sub-regional economic forecasts/projections to support regional/sub-regional profiling, baseline setting, strategy development, and monitoring and evaluation activity and impact analyses.
The Regional Economic Forecasting Panel was set up in 2003 in response to this project.
On an annual cycle the Panel produces:-
- 2 sets of ‘State of the Region Reports’ - a factual report on the North West economy.
- 2 sets of ‘State of the Region : Sub Regional Report’ - a factual report on the North West sub-regions.
- ‘Business Forecasts North West’, updated six monthly and provides a 3 year forecast for the North West.
- 1 ‘Long Term Forecast’ which provides a 15-20 year forecast for the North West.
