Graduate and Student Output

Gap Question:-

Graduate and Student Output

Data is now available to RIN members to use this data in house at the RIU. If you wish to book a session to access this data please contact Matt Waltho or Vanessa Smallman on 01925 400296 or 01925 400291.

Two sources identified - data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency and the Learning and Skills Development Agency.

There are two prime sources for this information. The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) co-ordinate the management of student data for all Higher Education Institutions. The other source is the Learning and Skills Development Agency who manage the Further Education student data.

In addition the RIU has received individual learner record data from the National Learning and Skills Council which is available annually from 2002/3. This data is available within the RIU and members of the Regional Intelligence Network can have access to this data for bespoke analysis.

On the Higher Education side, HESA have been contracted to provide the RIU with student and qualifications data for all Higher Education institutions in the country for 1998/99 - 2005/6. Data covering the first destinations (first jobs) of all graduates has also been provided for 1998/99 - 2005/6. Both datasets are renewed on an annual basis.  This data has been made available to the RIU and is available to Regional Intelligence Network Members via the RIU.

This research gap has been filled with graduate and student data now available from the RIU upon request.
