Northwest Day Visit Survey 2007

A major survey of Day Visitors to the Northwest was undertaken during 2007.  Just under 10,000 respondents completed an on-line core survey, providing information on type of activity, where they went, when, number of visits, duration of trip, party profile and spend.  2,000 then took part in a more detailed, follow up diary-type survey that asked respondents to step through their day recording all the events and expenditure that occurred from leaving home to arriving back.  The final report is expected to be available from this site by October 2008.  For further information contact Lesley.King@nwda.co.uk

England Day Visit Survey 2005

Natural England continued the survey series known formerly as the United Kingdom Day Visits Survey, by running an England-only survey during 2005.  Full survey results and a Visit Britain summary report are available.
