Northwest Business Tourism Survey 2008During 2008, the NWDA commissioned LTO and Arkenford Ltd to undertake a major survey of business tourists to the Northwest. The first stage of the survey was sent to a nationally representative section of the GB working population. Over 13,000 on-line interviews were completed, collecting information on the profile and volume of business trips to the Northwest. The second stage of the interview collected more information from up to two relevant business trips to the Northwest, collecting details about why the destination was chosen, travel and accommodation used (if any) as well as the amount spent and on what.
